The research entitled “Development of services for the transport and display of artistic artefacts from the museums of Basilicata to be implemented with innovative systems for the management and handling of the elements, in relation to the priority aim of reducing vibrations” was conducted by a Temporary Association of Purpose established by the Politecnico di Milano, as lead partner, by the spin off of the University of Calabria 3D Research, by the transport company Artèria s.r.l. and by the CBC a restoration cooperative company, and involved the study of very different topics, all of which are necessary in the design of protection systems for works against vibrations, whether they be transport vibrations or earthquakes. The innovativeness of this research consisted precisely in this multidisciplinary approach which made it possible to have accurate data on the original works, copies for laboratory tests and experimental data for the development of virtual modeling.
